EasyArr
Reworking product flow for a startup in Gothenburg
EasyArr is an event management tool that envison a Swedish live-music industry that once again grows at the grassroots level as thousands of musicians, actors, writers and venues can organize events with no inherent financial risk.
The goal for the project was to improve EasyArr’s two main user flows by reducing time to completion and increased ease of use.
Process
Based on user feedback collected from interviews, tests and complaints the problem statements of the product was an overwhelming amount of information during onboarding and the time it took to complete each product flow.
The two main flows are Create Profile and Create Event. The flows were evaluated and the information architecture mapped out, all non-critical information got stripped away and made optional for users to access at a later stage if needed. This would reduce the amount of information users had to sift through for each step and reduced time to completion.
Prototype & UI
With the two flows reworked I set up a prototype in Figma for user testing. In addition to the prototype a new designsystem was created and implemeted to accomodate for WCAG guidelines and to give the product a more modern look.
Metrics
I conducted 12 tests over 6 sessions where the scenario was to create a profile and then use that profile to create an event. Once each flow was completed the user would rate the visual ease of use and process strain on a scale 1-5. Users also estimated how long they thought the same scenario would have taken in a real product. All data was then presented and shared with the product owner.
